Painting, for me, is an act of sustained attention through which a person, place, or landscape gradually reveals its presence.

I paint watercolor portraits, figures, and landscapes from my studio in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Every painting begins with observation. Whether I'm spending time with a portrait subject, hiking to paint outdoors, or working through a series of drawings in the studio, I'm trying to understand what makes a place or person feel unique and truly itself.

My goal is simple: to make paintings that feel alive.
