Christopher Bohn is a watercolor painter based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He paints portraits, figures, landscapes, and animals with a focus on observation, light, and the quiet character of people and places.

Bohn attended the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia from 2000 to 2003, where he studied drawing and painting. Figure drawing became the foundation of his practice and continues to shape the way he approaches every subject.

After leaving Tyler, Bohn spent more than a decade as a professional musician, performing as both a singer-songwriter and an event musician before beginning a career in logistics. Throughout those years he continued to draw and paint, returning to a dedicated studio practice in recent years.

In 2023, after visiting the Brandywine Museum and seeing Andrew Wyeth's watercolors, Bohn shifted his focus from oil to watercolor. He was drawn to the medium's transparency, portability, and ability to describe light with clarity and economy.

Portraits begin with conversation. Before making photographs, Bohn spends time with each subject in a place that matters to them. Landscapes often begin outdoors, where watercolor allows him to work directly from observation. Back in the studio, drawings and value studies help simplify the composition until only the essential elements remain.

Bohn has exhibited with the York Art Association, where he presented a featured exhibition in the Sally Little Danyo Gallery and received the Best Watercolor in Show award. He teaches watercolor and charcoal through the York Art Association and recently completed a six-month mentorship with watercolor painter Mary Whyte.

He is a member of the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society. He is currently building a full-time studio practice centered on gallery representation, portrait commissions, teaching, and workshops.
